Description
In Monferrato, Piedmont, there is a small commune, or village, where one of Italy’s favourite red wines, Barolo, is produced.
Barolo is made from Nebbiolo grapes and is considered one of Italy’s greatest wines.
It’s one of few with DOCG status, meaning its production is strictly controlled.
Bottles even have a numbered government seal across the neck to prevent counterfeiting!
This region is covered in long, straight rows of grape vines, which the grooves in our Barolo range of handles and knobs remind us of.
